Obviously, things have changed.
Logging into blogger tonight gave me a strange, almost nostalgic, somewhat forlorn feeling. My heart sank a bit. Wow. I haven't done this in so long.
For work, I've been writing so much about other things, other people, other events, none of which have ever really been touched on here. I mentioned to a friend the other night (paraphrasing): "I haven't really 'written' anything like I used to in a long time, but I'm still writing, and I'm still using my voice. I love what I'm writing...it's just different."
I blog full time, upwards of ten posts per day, and this doesn't include the writing for the magazines. There simply isn't time for Sire Says right now. For example, it's 9:41 p.m. and I still have to program two more early morning posts for the work blog so all the east coast readers will have something to see at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. when I am, hopefully, sleeping.
I will be back, in one way or another, at some point. And you can follow all that "different" writing on Unzipped.
P.S. The cyst on my spleen came back, and last week, I had the surgery that I should have had the first time, a complete splenectomy. I'm healing, but there's still some pain.
Until next time...

Zach,
I am glad that you finally got the source of the problem taken care of.
Your post tonight was EXTREMELY strange. I had just finished reading Celeste's blog (which is where I originally found your link) and I was thinking that I hoped everything is ok with you. I had been checking periodically and it was the same old post...
I was a tad worried, but I figured that you were very busy and I got nostalgic for the last political campaign. (Gosh - how could it possibly be a YEAR since the Demo convention...that is not possible)
Anyway - please take care, rest and heal and know that your friends are still out here...
Hey dude I missed your unique insights. I hope you are feeling better and that you take care of your health. That is really what is most important.
Remember work isn't everything. Of course it is great when you are doing something you love like blogging. Good luck and I will keep checking in here to see if you are coming back.
Oh snap, you finally rebelled against the medical community and were rewarded with the truth.
How unusual that you still push the mulatto messiah health providers changes.
Can you not see your hypocrisy? C'mon Zac, you can do this.
I'm glad you are better ... and it's good to know you ARE writing ... You haven't lost this fan ... I still check your blog weekly ... though the past 6+ months have been as chaotic for me as they have been for you - in different ways ... Hang in there!
:O)
Good update.
