Sire Says Advisory: Surgery

I finally had it, last night. Of course, it had to happen after rushing to the ER at 3:00 am Thursday morning. Sometimes the only way to get things done is during emergencies, apparently. They removed the cyst laparoscopically, which while non-invasive, still hurts. They may not have cut me wide open, but they still dig around in your abdomen, fill you up with air, and generally fuck everything up in there, so I'm in pain, at least for a couple days. Vicodin is on the way.

Two quick things before I abandon the blog for the rest of the weekend:

1. I haven't had solid food or a cigarette since Wednesday evening...let's see how long I can keep it up! I have had at least 25 mg of dilaudid (sp) and hundreds of milligrams of vicodin.

2. The question "How bad is you pain on a scale of 1 to 10" is the most pointless piece of bullshit fucking question, ever. I just said "10, 10, 10, 10" after the first thousand times all the idiot nurses asked. Most of the nurses were fucking annoying whores, by the way, but there were a couple decent ones.

Good night.

Well, my friend, I am sorry that it finally took an er visit but I am glad that you got it taken care of.

Now don't worry about it and take whatever pain killer you need to get through the ordeal.

Best wishes Zach...

Actually it took 3 ER visits to " get these "health professionals" to do something about this. In addition Zach (having done his own research) had to propose the specific surgery to the doctor and then he agreed! We must all be advocates for our own health!!

You do realize that after this whole espisode has otherwise been forgotten you will forever be known as 'Spleen Boy'? (rejected applicant to the LSH who were unimpressed by his superpower of doubling up in pain).

The doctor asked "Are you sure you want the growth removed?"

Sire Says: "Yes doctor. I incyst!!!"

Good you have this episode over with.
